about the academy
10 years, 15 cohorts, 119 companies supported, $1.6bn raised. Even the best need a refresh. We've listened to our alumni, we've watched the market mature - the traditional accelerator no longer works for high-speed startups. That's why, this November, we're launching the Seraphim Academy.
Our new model removes the bottlenecks for startups accessing capital. We've created a long-term programme, with a flexible and tailored approach for startups at all stages. With new delivery partners, a broader global network, the intakes will be smaller, but the offer is way bigger.
Seraphim Academy is the venture-led programme for SpaceTech startups ready to grow. Read about the five enhanced elements below.
Tailored approach
No two SpaceTech companies face exactly the same challenges. The Academy brings together fundraising, commercial and operational support, tailored to each company's stage and priorities. Founders can gain support across investor readiness, pitch refinement and fundraising strategy, as well as business development, financial planning and expansion into new markets. The Academy also helps companies navigate the realities of scaling in the space sector, from hiring and mission assurance to licensing, compliance, government opportunities and engagement with agencies and prime contractors.
global mentors
Founders can learn from experienced entrepreneurs and specialists across Seraphim’s global network. Alongside practical guidance, the Academy creates opportunities to connect with people who understand the space sector and the markets startups want to enter. Our mentors comprise leaders across industry, academia, entrepreneurship, government and defence. These mentors lie at the forefront of policy; so how will your technology inform their global view?
International Events
Go to where the people are. Our programme of in-person events is built around major industry conferences. As well as conference access, we incorporate side events such as dinners, breakfasts and partner site visits to maximise visibility and interaction with the space ecosystem in any given locality. See the FAQs for the list of events we will be present at.
Fundraising. Scaling. Operationalising.
Three pillars, with support shaped around what your startup needs most at its current stage.
